Are we doing anything specific for the first meeting of the school year? Like, are we having a party, when is the first actual meeting, etc.? Oh, and what about a recruitment drive? Are we pushing for new members this year? If so, do we need new flyers? And finally, what about the club faire? Do we have ideas for a board already? Was I supposed to make one over the summer? I don't remember. ^^;

Well, as far as rooms go, in order to have the nice, big room we had to change the club day. So now we meet in room 320 on Thursdays from 6:30 until the Student Union Closes. This is why I wanted access to the announcements forum Also, the first day the room is reserved for is August 28th (the first Thursday of classes) and is reserved until dead week. Maybe we could introduce a club activity that week and the next week, do it (such as that scavenger hunt we mentioned in the other suggestions thread ) .
I was under the impression that you were going to be making a poster/bulliten board using the old one as a basis. At least, I think that's right. As always, more members (paying members especially) would be awesome. We would also need to advertise our club's very existance, so flyers would be good. Maybe people could make them and upload them in a thread here and we can pick and choose? Also, are we going to have a new t-shirt? What would the design be? These would probably need to be ordered mid September so we need to start thinking about them.

Okay, you have permission to type on the Announcements board. ^^ What about a theme for this fall? Like, maybe promoting a specific game or something? That would give us more direction on the posters ideas.

Maybe old school gaming? Like back in 8 bit. "Yeah, we can say stuff like 'back in the day' or 'remember the good old days'. Can you?"

how about we has powwow and plan first meeting before hand. Because we seem to work better talking out loud.

Maybe officers meeting/committee heads meeting thing before the first club meeting.

that would be a good idea. that way we will be prepared when have the first meeting.

something that would be cool would be to take a certain game/game genre and focus on it for a meeting. like card games, board games etc. we could do a short blurb on like its history and stuff and then explain it a little, give personal experiences and such. then after, those who want could give the game a try, or something from that genre, or just do whatever. that way we are educating about the different types of gaming and who knows. maybe we'll even find a new love.

For every meeting, that may become a bit tiresome and cumbersome, though that does seem to be a great idea.

We could do it every other meeting. Swapped off with other stuff.

I have asked Kathleen to fill in as treasure will i'm absent but she has not replied so.

We've already decided some stuff so we're good as far as officers go.
